Office of International Cooperation and Exchange
The Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (OICE) of Chengdu University is responsible for the international affairs related to enrolling international students, inviting foreign experts, and promoting international cooperation and exchange between CDU and other universities and institutions abroad.
Up to now, CDU has established friendly partnerships with over 30 educational institutions from more than 20 different countries and regions around the world. International joint programs between Chengdu University and foreign universities are rapidly growing, with affiliations having already been developed with higher institutions in countries such as the United States , Great Britain , Germany , Australia , New Zealand , Singapore and Malaysia . Each year, an increasing number of faculty members and students from Chengdu University are being sent abroad through international academic exchange and inter-collegiate programs.
Meanwhile, the enrollment of international students at Chengdu University is growing steadily as well. So far, the OICE has recruited more than 500 foreign students from the United States , Great Britain , France , Germany , Russia , Thailand , South Korea , Israel , Japan , the Netherlands , and many other countries. Studying Chinese language in Chengdu University , international students not only strengthen their language skills, but also deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, history and customs through additional classes such as Wushu (kungfu), Sichuan Opera, calligraphy, and Chinese traditional medicine. In this way, Chinese teaching in CDU is not only confined to the regular classroom exercises, but is also integrated with various field activities that provide students with access to a real language environment and local culture. With these distinguishing features for learning Chinese language and culture training, Chengdu University attracts more and more foreign students from around the world every year.
